"The biggest problems that we're facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all. And that's what I intend to reverse when I'm president of the United States."
-Sen. Barack Obama, March 31, 2008
Despite Obama's campaign promise, his ever growing list of self-appointed "Czars" speaks volumes about his chosen path to "fundamentally change" America. The list had hit 40, but the resignation of Van Jones over the Labor Day weekend has reduced the "shadow government" of this administration to a mere 39. Meanwhile, Cabinet positions go unfilled as he circumvents system of "checks and balances" created by our founding fathers.
I wonder how many other promises have already been broken in the nine months that he has been in office. I can name more than I have fingers for, but I invite my readers to rant a little, too. In the comment section, document a campaign promise. I doubt that you'll need to tell us how the promise was broken, but you are welcome to do so!
